Room Dimensions
Please bring with you the room dimensions and fireplace dimensions,
this will make it easier you us to help you choose your new stove:
Width, length and height of the room.
Width, length and depth of the fireplace.
Stove Size
The correct size stove running at its optimum is more efficient and burns
cleaner (less emissions to the atmosphere, cleaner chimney, cleaner glass,
better view of the fire) than a stove which is too large and constantly running
slowly, to prevent overheating the room.
Air Space
The stove should have adequate air space around it to allow the stove to heat
the room rather than heat the fireplace. Usually 6 inches either side of the
stove.
Ventilation
All fires require air to burn. Any stove with a heat output of 5 Kilowatts
or more will require addition combustion air. This can be done through installing
an air brick
